YEREVAN—After an announcement by the presidents of the Minsk Group Co-chairing countries, Armenia’s Foreign Minister Eduard Nalbandian reiterated official Yerevan’s assertion that Azerbaijan is to blame for the stalemate in the Karabakh peace talks.
In a written statement, Nalbandian aligned Yerevan with the presidents of the US, France and Russia, who on the sidelines of the G-20 Summit in Los Cabos, Mexico called on Armenia and Azerbaijan to take constructive steps in resolving the conflict.
“Armenia is united with the co-chairing countries and is resolute to settle the issue exceptionally in a peaceful way,” said Nalbandian.
“Like Russia, the United States and France, we regret that that despite the calls of the Deauville statement of May 26, 2011, we failed to achieve progress at the Kazan summit of June 24, 2011 because of Azerbaijan’s non-constructive and maximalist position,” added Nalbandian.
“Committed to the agreements reached by the presidents of Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan on January 23, 2012 in Sochi, Armenia will continue its efforts towards progress on the Principles of conflict settlement,” Nalbandian pledged.
“Like the co-chairing countries, we have urged on many occasions to respect the ceasefire agreement reached in 1994 and refrain from bellicose statements that incite tension. Unlike Armenia, Azerbaijan has always rejected and continues to reject the proposals of the co-chairing countries targeted at the reinforcement of the ceasefire regime, namely withdrawal of snipers from the line of contact, creation of mechanisms for investigation of ceasefire violations and border incidents. Azerbaijan last did it during the visit of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office a week ago. Azerbaijan not only turns down the proposals, but also grossly violates the ceasefire and continues to organize provocations,” explained Nalbandian.
“Unlike Azerbaijan, Armenia has declared on many occasions that it is ready to continue the negotiations on the basis of the statements of the leaders of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairing countries adopted in L’Acquila, Muskoka, Deauville and Los Cabos to reach a final solution,” said the Foreign Minister.
I was under the impression that Nalbandian was going to blame Armenia but he surprisingly blamed Azerbaijan
Final solution, You got it. That solution will be final if the Amenians win the propaganda war. And I don’t mean right now, or in the near future. The people of Anatolia, have changed their religions, their language, their nomenclature, even their genetic make-up, several times in known historical times. Recent genetic studies, have earth shattering implications. Too many for this comment, but two by themselves merit mention. 1. Anatolian Turks are less than 10% Turkish and 90% Armenian. 2. Armeno/Phyrigian genes make up less than 10-12% of the Hye genes. Those of us who call ourselves Hye, in the Hayeren language, absorbed both the Phyrigian invaders and the Turkish ones. In the process, The majority of the Anatolian Muslims, are acculturated Hayes (Armenians). Think about it.
what Anatolian ? there is only Armenian highlands ,Haygakan Lernashkhar !
I appreciate the Purism. Haigagan Lernashkhar. If that makes it better. It’s the point I’m trying to make. We will never have enough soldiers and guns to reclaim Armenia south of the Turkish border. We need something new; and that is, Armenian propaganda; In Turkish
Which one looks more Armenian?
What does an Armenian look like, do you even know ?
Corrupt Aliyev and his Corrupt family are the problem to keep their grip on power
Secondly the Armenian government has poor judgment to think that opening the borders with Turkey will solve Armenia’s economic problems. It will worsen problems because they Turks want to economically dominate Armenia. The Haystansis in the government are so incompetent that they will allow this to happen. The opening of borders will create a cultural and genetic genocide. Haystansi woman are already marrying many Turks and having half-Turk children and this will only get many times worse with the opening of the border. Unfortunately Turkish genes have penetrated the Armenian gene pool especially among Hayastansis because that part of Armenia exchanged hands so many times during the various wars between Iran, Russia and the Ottoman empire. The government should not promote policies to worsen the situation.
{“The Haystansis in the government are so incompetent that they will allow this to happen.”}
Those same ‘Haystansis’ you look down on were the ones who created the present Republic of Armenia.
The same ‘Haystansis’ you look down on were the ones that saved Artsakh from extinction and increased the security of both RoA and NKR by liberating additional historic Armenian lands.
And assuming you are Armenian from Diaspora, why don’t you gather a few of your competent friends and liberate Western Armenia, if you think ‘Hayastantsi’ are so incompetent.
You may think so. But I see no evidence of cross over genetics. The DNA studies, show, that the Turks in Anatolia (Haygakan Lernashkhar ), are all acculturated Armenians. Of those who claim to be of pure Turkish ancestry, they barely have 10% Turkish genes. I agree with everything else you said.
