GLENDALE—World Financial Group (WFG) and Transamerica Financial Advisors TFG Division new office was inaugurated on April 28 in Glendale, CA.
The new office which is located at 425 West Broadway hosted about 500 attendees. The opening ceremony was attended by World Financial Group Executive Vice Chairman and President’s Council member Simon Lam and his wife Leman Le, Regional Vice President at Transamerica Chris Coyer, compliance auditor from WFG home office Susanna Wong, as well as representatives from other branch offices all the way from Southern California to Northern California including Woodland Hills, San Diego and San Jose, and many other guests.
At the beginning of the ceremony, WFG Glendale Partners Office principles Editha Ombra, Gilbert Talana, Nor Bautista and Avo Sexenian were recognized for their significant role in the opening of the new location.
The Glendale new office branch manager Executive Marketing Director Avo Sexenian welcomed guests and attendees by stating: “We didn’t invite you to come here just to visit the building because the building is not ours. Even though this is a really high-tech and very nice office but it means nothing. We want to share with you the opportunity to give you a chance to see the environment because it doesn’t matter what building you go, the environment creates greatness.”
In part of his speech, Avo Sexenian acknowledged the role of Executive Marketing Director Bart Balikyan in initiating the operation in Glendale about 20 years ago by mentioning: “he was the first person who put all the efforts, worked hard and put the platform. He made it happen in order for us to have a chance to move forward.” He also acknowledged Executive Marketing Director Andranik Petrosyan for introducing the opportunity to him 16 years ago and helping him to build the business.
Talking about the future of the operation in Glendale, Avo Sexenian emphasized: “I do believe that we [our organization in Glendale] have a great future ahead because we have a fantastic history. Right now in our organization we have over 400 associates all over the nation. Glendale Partners office is just the core of it but right now we’re operating in about 10 different states all the way from the East Coast to the North and we are looking for all the way to Canada. We have about 150 licensed people just from this small location.” He continued: “Just in last two-three years we have done incredible stuff, stuff that has changed many lives. We have people who became hero from nowhere and made annual $30,000, $50,000, or $75,000. As a fact, we have three couples who broke the barrier and made $100,000 on part-time basis. In this economy making 100,000 and above on part-time basis, I think, it’s incredible.” He noted: “This is just the beginning. That’s why we needed this platform. Next two-three years our target is to hit 100-150 new $100,000 earners from this office alone. We want to push out about 100-150 branch managers.”
Introducing Simon Lam and Leman Le as the next speakers, Avo Sexenian emphasized their great characteristics as supportive coaches and high-integrity leaders. “It is a privilege for me to be part of this ceremony.” said Simon Lam “I see a lot of faces who have been with me for a long time, for more than 17 years, and they are still around and there is nothing better than this for me. I see a lot of upcoming mature leaders and also young ones arising.”
Leman Le recognizing the quality service provided by Glendale associates stated: “I do believe that with the new office, this awesome quality office, you will continue helping people, helping your families, changing people’s lives and becoming better person.”
At the end, Avo Sexenian expressed his appreciation for the collective efforts of all leaders, principles and executives in holding the event. He specially recognized the efforts of WFG Glendale Partners new operation manager Aylin Mirzabegian and Erwin Yaghoobian as well as Vahe and Andranik Hakobyan who were involved closely in the operation.
For the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Avo Sexenian invited his father and Simon Lam to cut the ribbon showing his gratitude to those two individuals, one in the family and another one in the business, who stood by him and coached him. Afterwards, guests toured the office and were served by refreshments and drinks.
