GLENDALE—Chamlian Armenian School held its Annual Gala Banquet on Saturday, March 14, with over 250 guests attending the exciting event held at the Peterson Automotive Museum in Los Angeles. Guests enjoyed an elegant evening of dining and dancing while surrounded by some of the world’s most exquisite automobiles.
The “Exquisite Night at the Museum”-themed Gala event, organized by Chamlian’s Parent Support Committee (PSC), was a huge success. It raised over $95,000 for the Gymnasium Project, which is currently in its final stages of completion.
The evening’s program began with opening remarks by Hasmig Demirdjian, Gala Committee Chairperson, followed by Nadia Shamsi, Parent Support Committee Chairlady, who shared her gratitude towards all the volunteers who helped make the evening a memorable one.
Following His Eminence Arch. Moushegh Mardirossian’s invocation, Chamlian’s Principal Vazken Madenlian, Vice Principal Rita Kaprielian, and Nadia Shamsi together recognized and honored major donors of the school, Mr. and Mrs. Hacop and Hilda Baghdassarian, Jessica Vartougian and Mr. and Mrs. Alan and Sabin Pezeshkian, with a commemorative plaque.
Special guests who were also present at the event were Western Prelacy Executive Members, George Chorbajian and Mher Der Ohanessian, Board of Regents representative, Maggie Sarkouni, Representatives of St. Mary’s Church, Rev. Vazken Atmajian and Zareh Markarian, and Aharonian Gomideh Representative Harout Hovasapian.
Chamlian Armenian School would like to congratulate the Banquet Committee members for their hard work, as well as the Gym Committee members for their vision and perseverance in securing a gymnasium for Chamlian. The school is also grateful to the countless parent volunteers and community members who have stood steadfast throughout the years in support of Chamlian Armenian School and all its efforts.
