YEREVAN (Armenpress)—Armenia’s IT Enterprises Union, a tech industry trade organization, announced on Monday that it will be hosting Armenia’s first ever mobile app. exhibition show in Yerevan. Dubbed Mobile App Expo 2014, the event will take play on May 30.
The IT Enterprises Union says the expo will serve as a place for people to become acquainted with new apps, products, technologies, and startups made in Armenia and the nearby region. The expo will over fifty businesses, whose products will cover business tools, games, entertainment, lifestyle and social apps.
The aim of the event is to bring together mobile app ecosystem key players including developers, mobile marketers, mobile operators, device manufacturers, serial entrepreneurs, industry professionals and showcase the apps developed in Armenia, Eastern Europe, and Central Asia.
The IT Enterprises Union says interactive workshops, presentations, game contests, and entertainment events will accompany the exhibition. Visitors will be able to test apps, play interactive games, join workshops, contests and win prizes.
The best startups will have an opportunity to pitch their ideas to Imperious Group Venture Fund from Ukraine and AppCampus mobile application accelerator program managed by Aalto University in Espoo, Finland.
