STEPANAKERT (ArmRadio)—The trial of two Azerbaijani saboteurs arrested in Artsakh is proceeds in line with all international norms and conventions, Executive Director of the Foundation Against the Violation of the Law (FAVL), and Armenia’s former Human Rights Defender Larisa Alaverdyan told reporters Tuesday.
Alaverdyan stressed that although an unrecognized country, the Artsakh Republic is committed to all norms of international humanitarian law, particularly the right to a fair trial. As for the lack of reaction from international structures, Alaverdyan said “it’s a positive message to us.”
Azerbaijan’s statements ignoring these facts are nothing but a political error and a crime, she said. The fact that Azeri commandos illegally entered Artsakh, killing a teenage boy and injuring a woman, was a demonstration of such a crime, she added. Alaverdyan said the trial will continue until a verdict.
Why do we have to abide by international law while azerbaijan violates every human law possible at every chance it gets, for example safarov, downing of the RA helicopter and daily viloation of the ceasfire while the OSCE silence is deafening. Time to retaliate the only way they understand; an eye for an eye. Hang these illegitimate sons of female dogs for shedding Armenian blood . No, this does not make us barbarians, it is the only way to teach them a well earned lesson and show the OSCE that we are no longer going to put up with their ambiguous duplicity..
