STEPANAKERT—An Artsakh Army soldier, 19-year-old Aghassi Mkrtchyan, was killed Wednesday in a military outpost in Artsakh.
Artsakh presidential spokesperson David Babayan on Thursday confirmed that Mkrtchyan was killed as a result of Azerbaijani fire.
Artsakh President Bako Sahakian awarded Mkrtchyan posthumously with the Medal of Valor.
Mkrtchyan was the third soldier to be killed by Azerbaijani fire in the last week.
According to the Artsakh Defense Ministry, Defense Army Private Artsakh Hovsepyan (born in 1998) was killed from Azerbaijani fire on Friday. On Wednesday, Contract Serviceman Haykaz Matevosyan (born in 1980) died in the defense positions of one of the military units located in the northeastern direction of the Artsakh-Azerbaijan border.
But then… what about the next article? Mr. Mnatsakanyan had a “useful” meeting with Mammadyarov !?!?
Mr. Mnatsakanyan, how useful was your meeting on the background of deaths of these 3 Armenian soldiers? Did you shake Mammadyarov’s hand? Smiled in his face? Why don’t you tell us about the usefulness of your meeting with the Azeri hyena?
How long will the Armenian government tolerate losing our fathers, brothers and sons to the degenerate corrupt government of Azerbaijan?
Plan the final blow to the enemy and put the question of Artsakh and Nakhchivan to rest once a for all times.
We cannot tolerate losing (sacrificing)our young this way.
This has to stop!
When are we going to respond?
We have to change the rules of warfare.
It seems our leaders don’t mind sacrificing a soldier here and there to not retaliate and possibly start a larger scale war. Then comes the usual appeal to the international community to “condemn” and to “rein in Azerbaijan” which is completely useless.. This policy is not sustainable. Strong retaliation is a must. Preparation for war at the same time is a must. In fact we are at war. Make no mistake. Its time to be aggressive. Its also way past time to implement a diaspora military units to expand the army personnel on all fronts. Its way past time to create a clandestine nuclear program. Azerbaijan will not stop ever. Regardless of any agreements. Its only a matter of time before Azerbaijan tries an all out invasion and this time, with the help of Turkey in Nackichivan, make just succeed. WAKE UP ARMENIANS!
Why in the world we are taking defensive positions on these borders! It seems like, we are to blame mostly for sending them the wrong messages, messages of inaction and weakness. Thus, allowing them to get away with impunity. For us just to sit there doing nothing like lame ducks and just reporting on it week after week without any positive actions is unacceptable and can not be tolerated.
At this rate, in a few years, Artsakh will have nothing left with which to resist; and the West will sigh and continue to collect its booty.
