The Arpa International Film Festival announced that the 27th annual festival will feature Katia Guiragossian documentary, “Missak and Mélinée Manouchian.”
Director Guiragossian, who is the great-niece of Missak and Mélinée Manouchian, created the film to honor their memory. The Manouchian’s were Armenian Genocide survivors who joined the resistance movement in France. Missak was later executed by the Nazis.
Guiragossian will be in attendance at the festival’s screening of “Missak and Mélinée Manouchian” on October 27 at 3:30 p.m., and, later in the evening, will receive the prestigious “Armin T. Wegner Humanitarian” award for the film.
The 27th annual Arpa IFF is set to unveil an extraordinary lineup of 110 films from 25 countries, showcasing the diverse varieties of human experiences.
The festival will be held in-person at the Harmony Gold Theater from Friday, October 25 through Sunday, October 27, and virtually from Monday, October 21 through Friday, November 1. The Harmony Gold Theatre is located at 7655 Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90046.
