Veteran Glendale City Councilman Larry Zarian–who has served the city for countless terms and is currently the head of the Metropolitan Transit Authority in Los Angeles–was chosen Mayor of Glendale Monday evening in a ceremony in the city’s Council Chambers.
Representatives from the Armenian National Committee were also on hand to witness the swearing in ceremony–as Zarian replaced outgoing mayor–Sheldon Baker–who remains on the council after winning re-election earlier this month.
