YEREVAN (Armenpress)–During the May 30-31 visit of the Organization for Security and Cooperation Minsk Group’s co-chairs to the Transcaucasus–the assistant to the French Ambassador–Alexi Duetetre told reporters that suggestions made by the French–along with the Russia’s and the US to the parties involved in the Karabakh conflict must result in tangible responses and reactions from the three sides.
Duetetre also said that if concrete results do not come about–France would pull out of the Minsk Group process.
According to Duetetre the suggestions do not side with any particular party to the conflict–but they are aimed at creating lasting peace in the Transcaucasus. He added that Karabakh is the victor in the military battle–but now France is interested in pursuing peace in the region.
The French official concluded by saying that his government has noticed the constructive nature of Armenia’s policies toward the conflict–and he expressed France’s full support of such positive steps.
