YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–Representatives of the National Accord Alliance member-organizations held meetings with their respective constituencies in various regions of Armenia.
Deputy chairman of the Democratic Party of Armenia–Armen Hovsepian told reporters that the social situation of people living in Armenia’s rural areas is horrible.
The people are starving and there is no hope for the better. According to Hovsepian–stories told by people in the earthquake area about their social and economic plight make such an oppressive impression that–in his opinion–decisive steps are needed to lead them out of the state of depression and save them from famine.
