YEREVAN (Fact)–In response to Turkey’s request to UNESCO to commemorate the 700th anniversary of the Ottoman Empire–Armenia’s Foreign Minister Alexander Arzoumanian directed a letter of protest to the head of UNESCO–asking him to reject Turkey’s request.
Arzoumanian also expressed hope that a large number of UN member-states will unite in Armenia’s protest against Turkey’s request.
