YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–The "Young Armenia’s" organization released a statement Wednesday confirming its faithfulness to the ideas and goals of the Karabakh liberation movement.
The organization will continue supporting the "true–patriotic forces for the good and welfare of the whole Armenian people–and independent and strong states of Armenia and Karabakh."
The statement went on to say that the group was "stressing our resoluteness and firmness to be responsible for the losses and victories of our people for the last ten years–having a moral debt before the heroes who sacrificed their lives for the salvation of the nation–considering as inadmissible the defeatist sentimen’s and denouncing attempts to speculate by the Karabakh problem that economic conditions in Armenia were poor and supporting all patriotic forces which contribute to turning our military victories into political and economic ones.
"Being concerned of the real danger of losing the achievemen’s gained by blood and deprivation via discreditation of the people–the organization declares that the fuss provoked by the figures who drove the people to the lowest degree of poverty–who robbed and blackmailed–distorted the moral and national values–seized the power through frauds and falsification–mixed personal and state interests–is the result of the belated understanding of the inevitable responsibility for those actions.
"For the sake of Karabakh we encountered such social-economic catastrophes and periods of heavy pain that today’s concern over the inaction or disorganization of the current government is at least dishonest. We categorically deny the defeatist attempts to personify the phenomena."
