Following tarantual rain on Monday–March 23–a landslide began developing in the Kaladouran village of Kessab. No casualties were reported.
On Tuesday–state transportation services transported residents of Sulian–Titizian and Dzov streets to Bedrusiye and then Kessab.
A snowstorm in the early morning hours of Wednesday brought great damage to Saghdejian Street.
Four houses sunk into the soil–and two houses were left uninhabitable.
The youth of Kessab are currently accompanying experts and humanitarian assistants in thoroughly assessing the damage.
Archbishop Souren Kataroyan of the Peria Prelacy visited the region on Wednesday–and offered his help to those in need. Also visiting the area was a delegation representing Syria’s Evangelical Armenian population.
