MOSCOW (Itar-Tass)–Russian President Boris Yeltsin sent a congratulatory messageto President-elect Robert Kocharian.
"I hope that your work in the responsible post of head of state will facilitate the deepening of understanding and further consolidation of relations of traditional friendship and cooperation between our countries–as well as encourage regional peace and stability," President Yeltsin said in his message.
"I wish you–esteemed Robert Kocharian–success and well-being–and to the people of Armenia–to whom the Russian people are bound by centuries-old fraternal ties–peace–happiness and prosperity," the Russian President said.
