YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–A scientific conference on the historical role–trends and perspectives of restoration of the Great Silk Road has been scheduled to be held in Yerevan October 14-18. The conference will be organized with the assistance of Armenian Society for Cultural Relations–the Armenian-Kazakh friendship society–National Academy of Science and the Yerevan State University.
Scientists from the Caucasus-Asia region have been invited to take part in the conference that will focus on prospective projects for the restoration of the ancient road as well as cultural and historical roots of the relations between the peoples of the region. A congress of businessmen as well as a fair of industrial goods and handicrafts will be organized to coincide with the conference.
