YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)– This year the Meghri Cannery is planning to double its production output–bringing it up to 160 tons–the Cannery’s director Grisha Grigorian said. He also said that this will allow to increase the capacity of the cannery–which until recently has been on the level of 10%.
According to Grigorian–the major obstacle in raising the production output is low demand for the cannery’s products on the domestic market. The products are mainly exported to Canada and USA. This year the cannery will also send its products to Russia and Turkmen’stan.
Grigorian also said that the lack of funds is also one of the major impedimen’s in raising the production output.
