YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)– The World Wrestling Championship is drawing to an end in Teheran. World and European champion Ara Gevorgian (69 kg) registered his fourth victory and reached the final.
His next rival will be Zoza Zazirov of the Ukraine. Another representative from Armenia–Armen Simonian–chalked up five victories.
However–the decision in his fight with a Turkish wrestler was given to the latter despite the obvious domination of the Armenian sportsman.
As a result Simonian placed sixth. Armenia’s representatives appealed the decision.
