BEIRUT (Aztag)–The Armenian Revolutionary Federation Central Committee of Lebanon issued an announcement Friday–expressing its support for the Kurdish national liberation struggle. Below is the English translation of that announcement:
On the occasion of the arrest of Kurdish national liberation struggle leader Abdullah Ocalan–Turkey–once again–demonstrated to the world its true colors as a genocidal state both in its continued persecution of Kurds inside Turkey and with its official calls to Turks living outside of Turkey to not sit idly.
The official position of the Turkish government is state terrorism–while oppressed peoples reserve the right to wage national liberation struggles.
The Armenian Revolutionary Federation Central Committee of Lebanon:
Expresses it solidarity with the Kurdish national liberation struggle–and;
Calls on Italian authorities to grant political asylum to Abdullah Ocalan.
