ANKARA (Marmara)–An exhibit of Genocide photographs was to open at the Strasbourg headquarters of the European Parliament due to the efforts of the Armenian lobby. The plan has been dropped as a result of Turkish pressure.
Turkey’s ambassador to the European Union demanded the parliamentarians prevent the realization of the exhibit. Claims were made that the photographs might not be authentic.
Richard Dolph (UK)–responsible for administrative and security issues–sent a letter to the European Parliament’s presidency urging the exhibit be canceled.
