YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–Arkady Vardanian–president of the "XXI Century" International Independent Association–was released from custody on February 22. Vardanian’s lawyer Samvel Jaghinian told reporters that the measure of restriction was changed upon the initiative of the preliminary investigation body–as the term of the preliminary investigation completed on February 22. However–the lawyer said–the criminal case against Vardanian is not dismissed.
According to Jaghinian–Arkady Vardanian’s state of health has not improved; he still remains in a hospital under medical observation.
