YEREVAN–Eduard Ghazarian of the ARF Armenia Executive Council represented the Armenian Revolutionary Federation at the British Labour Party Conference held in Glasgow–United Kingdom–on February 16-18. The ARF had received an official invitation from the British Labour Party to participate in the conference.
Representatives of socialist parties from European and other countries also participated in the conference. The three-day conference focused on socialist–political–and economic issues pertaining to Britain and the Europe. British Prime Minister Tony Blair–also the head of the Labour Party–spoke toward the closing of the conference.
Ghazarian had several meetings with Labour Party representatives throughout the conference.
It should be noted that the foreign secretary of the Labour Party visited Armenia on January 29-31 upon the invitation of the ARF Bureau.
