YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–The "Taos" international film festival–in which the "On Ancient Rome Roads" film of famous film-maker Don Askarian will participate–will be held in the US April 11-14. Held since 1994–the "Taos" festival is unique–because its prize is 5,000 acres of land. The purpose of the prize is to build a Taos "filmtown," the residents of which will all be film-makers who have participated in the festival.
The Czech Republic–Austria–China–Canada and Armenia will participate in the festival this year.
The topic of "On Ancient Rome Roads" which is a joint Armenian-German-Dutch production–is the Armenian Genocide in Turkey.
Kelly Clement–the director of the festival–said about Don Askarian’s film: "This film is a rare and unique treasure. This is the film which exceeds all expectations."
