LOS ANGELES–A reception honoring the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Consulate General of the Republic of Armenia in Los Angeles–gathered widespread support as 400 people gathered at the the AGBU center in Pasadena to celebrate.
The October 28th event–jointly organized by the Armenian General Benevolent Union–Armenian Revolutionary Federation–and the Hunchakian and Ramgavar political parties–also marked the 2nd anniversary of Consul General Gagik Kirakossian’s appointment.
Noune Avetissian served as the master of the ceremonies that featured congratulatory remarks from organizers–as well as an artistic program. On hand were Primate Hovnan Derderian–Prelate Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian–Head of the Armenian Catholic Community Father Andon Saroyan–Minister Joe Matossian of the Armenian Evangelical Union–Glendale Mayor Rafi Manoukian–and representatives of the Armenian Relief Society–Hamazkayine–and Homenetmen.
ARF Western Region representative Hovig Saliba–in delivering ARF’s congratulatory remarks–stressed the significance of Armenia’s independence and the role of the diaspora in advancing the country.
