Levon Aronian of Armenia beat Vassily Ivanchuk of Ukraine on top board for their respective teams. Aronian won the Rook for Knight exchange on the 15th move. He forced a Queen swap on the 40th move and won the Rook vs. Bishop ending on the 55th move.
