BAKU (Armenpress)–European Union’s Special Envoy for the South Caucasus Peter Somebody, will pay a visit to the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, Russian RIA news agency said. The Swedish diplomat was quoted by RIA as saying he will go there to try to persuade Armenian and Azeri communities of the region to restore confidence. It’s time for Azerbaijan and Nagorno Karabakh to normalize their ties, Peter Semneby said, adding that Armenia’s and Azeris have been neighbors for centuries and they have not had ties only in the last 15 years. He argued that restoration of confidence between the two communities will give a strong push to efforts to end the conflict.
