YEREVAN (Armradio)–A two-day internationals forum titled "From Memory to Commemoration" dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the Memorial to Armenian Genocide victims in Dzidzernagapert began in Yerevan on Wednesday.
The conference featured Armenian National Assembly Speaker Tigran Torosyan, Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian, Minister of Culture Hasmik Poghosyan, President of the National Academy of Sciences Radik Martirosyan, as well as historians and political scientists from Germany, Norway, the Netherlands, Russia and Japan.
A documentary on the Armenian Genocide and the international approaches toward it was presented, while reports were presented on the destruction of Armenian historical and architectural monumen’s in Turkey and Azerbaijan.
Participants of the forum are expected to visit the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.
