
GLENDALE–The much-anticipated Americana on Brand will open its doors to the public Friday at 9 a.m. with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony, announced Rick Caruso, CEO of Caruso Affiliated, which built the project, during a walkthrough Wednesday.
During the press walk organizers also unveiled a new two-car trolley, an original design created for Caruso by George McGinnis a former Walt Disney Imagineer. The trolley circles around the 15.5 acre property around a two-acre park and playground around the various shops and restauran’s.
The Americana at Brand is the first residential, commercial and entertainment mixed use project and features 238 apartmen’s and 100 condominiums.
Caruso explained that the leasing and selling process will begin next week, giving prospective residents an opportunity to see first-hand the amenities and facilities. Caruso added, however, that there were more than 2,000 people on what he called an “interest” list for the properties.
Caruso added that the condominium will sell from $700,000 to $2.5 million.
Americana at Brand features a variety of shopping and restauran’s, including the famed Katsuya by Starck, Cheesecake Factory and others. It also features a 18-screen Pacific Theaters, which will be open to the public Friday.
