MOSCOW (Armenpress)–The second stage of Rubezh-2008 command and staff military games of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) began Wednesday at the united headquarters of the CSTO in Moscow.
Participants during the second phase of the war games will take part in exercises where they will provide military and technical assistance to member countries that have been attacked, explained CSTO Deputy Secretary General Valery Semerikov.
About 4,000 troops are taking part in the drills together with military hardware, artillery, fighters, air-defense emplacemen’s and other facilities.
The CSTO alliance consists of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
