YEREVAN (Armenpress)–About 270 Diaspora Armenian students have applied to the Armenian Education Ministry to study in Armenian state universities. An official from the ministry, Amalya Kocharian, said that the majority of applicants are from Georgia, Russia, Iran, Syria and other CIS countries.
She said for the first time they have received applications from two citizens of Mexico who want to study in Brusov State Linguistic University and in Armenia’s State Architectural University.
This year state-funded housing has been provided for Diaspora Armenian applicants who want to major in Armenian culture, and pedagogy.
Applications for admission by Diaspora Armenian students are being received from July 1 to August 20. The interviews for entrance will be conducted from August 22 to September 6.
