ECHMIADZIN (ArmRadio)—Grigor Nersissian, the father of His Holiness Catholicos Karekin II, passed away late Tuesday, reported the press office of the Holy See of Etchmiadzin on Wednesday.
According to Echmiadzin, Nersissian, who was 88 years old, died after a short illness.
Funeral service will be offered at the Monastery of St. Gayane on Thursday, October 29 at 6:00 p.m. The burial service will take place on Friday, October 30 at 1:00 p.m.
