MONTEBELLO—The San Gabriel Valley ANC Chapter and L.A. County Deputy Assessor John Noguez collaborated on January 14 for a Property Tax Workshop at the Montebello Armenian Center to an audience of over 70 people. The evening was moderated by ANC-SGV member and L.A. County Assessment Appeals Board Member Jack Hadjinian.
Deputy Assessor John Noguez gave a very informative speech about Proposition 8, 13, 60, 90, and 110 where he explained in detail what the tax payer’s rights are under these state measures. After the 1 hour presentation members of the audience had the opportunity to ask the Deputy numerous questions from applying for a decline in value to properly transferring title during the event of gifting property to children, and how to reduce your property tax consequences in general. Deputy Assessor John Noguez was proud to provide guests with literature published by the County Assessor’s Office that included Armenian translations.
