We mourn the deaths of Asbarez collaborator and former Assistant Editor of the English Section, Allen Yekikian and his wife, Sose Thomassian who were in a car accident on Friday en route from Armenia to Georgia. The entire editorial board, staff and management of Asbarez would like to offer their condolences to the Yekikian and Thomasian families.
Nothing will make this unspeakable sadness better. So many people are in shock and in mourning.
My condolences to the Yekikian and Thomasian families.
Any loss of Armenian life is tragic and unbearable.

How sad. What a loss. Such beautiful people.
Very sad news for Armenians , especially for Asbarez and their relatives!!
RIP Sose and Allen!!
This is so sad, I feel awful. What a waste. The people we need the most are the ones we are losing. Sometimes life is just not right. God bless them and family.
Did not know until today about this lovely couple and their blog. They sounded happy and focused in everything good. They seemed to have found a paradise and now they are in the Real Paradise.
My prayers are with their families.
Everyone who visits this site on a daily basis does not realize the impact that Allen Yekikian had on it. It’s entire redesign, smart phone application and updates system was the brainchild of one of our community’s brightest and most idealistic minds. Allen Yekikian poured his heart and his soul into Asbarez not for what it it was or what it is but for what it could be. He never stopped striving for success and excellence. He wanted everyone to look at this publication as an honest and open source of news on issues of interest to the Armenian community. Allen Yekikian and Sose Thomassian were two of the most wonderful people a person could have had the pleasure of knowing. Their premature departure from this life leaves a gaping hole in me and many others. I miss them and hope everyone who reads Asbarez appreciates what this young man did. May God illuminate his soul and his wife’s in Heaven.
The only comfort now is that they left this world TOGETHER. What pain their mothers must have felt yesterday on Mother’s Day. So very tragic.
I was shocked when I heard the tragic news. Sose was the analyst working with me at UCI. She was unique in her job and had an outstanding character. I am extremely saddened and my heart goes to her family. RIP
I had the pleasure of working with Sose at UC Irvine and I am deeply saddened by her death. I am consoled only by the fact that she and her husband went together. May their spirits live forever through their family and friends. My deepest felt condolences to the Thomassian and Yekikian families.
The Armenian community has lost two bright and promising souls. May their strength and hope shine down upon us!
It is a very dark day ! This is a tragedy that is unexplainable. Your commitment and work for the Armenians will be missed. We are all shaken. Condolences to their families. All Armenians have lost. May GOD bless their souls
I am deeply saddened as everyone else who knew Allen or Sose. The feeling of powerlessness in the face of such unbearable and unexpected news. Condolences to the families and close friends of Allen and Sose.
It was dark day for all of us azvas hokenen losavore
