LOS ANGELES—The Armenian National Committee of America-North San Fernando Valley Chapter announced this week its official endorsement of Los Angeles City Councilmember John Lee in his Re-Election bid for City Council District 12 for the March 3, 2020 Election which covers: Chatsworth, Granada Hills, North Hills, Northridge, Porter Ranch, Reseda, Sherwood Forest, and West Hills.
The ANCA, North San Fernando Valley Chapter’s support of Councilmember John Lee’s candidacy is based on his vision and plan for San Fernando Valley – District 12 and for his strong support of the Armenian American community. After an open and sincere discussion, the ANCA – North San Fernando Valley Chapter board expressed overwhelming support to endorse John Lee’s candidacy.
“Councilmember John Lee has a fundamental understanding of the issues that surround the needs of the Armenian American community, our district, as well as the rest of the City of Los Angeles. He has a clear vision on how to resolve our local issues. His extensive knowledge of the community will enable him to handle these challenges as a City Councilmember,” remarked ANCA – North San Fernando Valley Chapter Chairperson, Vic Vahe Melkonian.
Councilmember John Lee shares a deep concern for our neighborhoods for a slew of reasons. He will serve as an advocate to bring quality jobs to our district, as well as assure accountability, transparency, and quality performance within city government. The Councilmember’s top priorities will focus on improving police response time while reducing crimes, addressing issues relating to homelessness, and improving transportation plans do reduce traffic congestions.
Councilmember John Lee believes that many of the city’s challenges can be overcome simply by listening to its residents, studying the issues thoroughly, and taking a proactive, solutions-oriented approach. The ANCA – North San Fernando Valley Chapter trusts that Councilmember John Lee will ensure diverse and equal representation throughout our community.
