The December 28 assassination of Dikran Naghdalian is by character an act of political terrorism–an act directed against the stability of the country–against free speech and the against the values that Dikran Naghdalian–a professional journalist and an honest intellectual–cherished.
Although the perpetrators are unknown–their act reveals rejection of the country’s stability and development–and intolerance of the restoration of the population’s faith and the nation’s renewed faith in its future.
In an effort to create tension and destabilize the environment–these elemen’s have challenged the population by attempting to plant–once again–fear and hopelessness in society.
This desperate attempt to interfere with the logical progression of history only discloses how pitiful and helpless those who have committed this crime are–and again reinforces the fact that the country has chosen the right path.
In mourning the loss of Dikran Naghdalian–The Armenian Revolutionary Federation expresses condolences to his family and colleagues–and strongly condemns this cowardly terrorist act.
