Armenian Revolutionary Federation Supreme Council of Armenia members Lilit Galstyan and Artsvik Minasyan on Tuesday met with a delegation from Lebanon headed by the country’s Bekaa Valley governor Kamal Abou Jaoudeh.
The delegation also included the mayor of the Armenian-populated city of Ainjar Vartges Khoshian and Lebanese businessman Nicolas Abou Fayssal.
The Lebanese delegation presented its agenda for cooperation with Armenia, emphasizing that it is in the process of finalizing a memorandum of understanding between the Bekaa Valley and Armenia’s Tavush Province.
The sides, once again, stressed the importance of the close relations between the two nations and its peoples, and added that there are great potential in strengthening those ties.
The warm and friendly meeting concluded with a discussion about potential investment projects in Armenia.
Earlier this month, Governor Abou Jaoudeh and Ainjar Mayor Khoshian took part in a meeting in Beirut organized by Armenian-American activist and benefactor Harry Nadjarian, who, in his new capacity as Lebanon’s Honorary Consul General to Fresno, has initiated the establishment of a sister city program between Fresno and Ainjar.
