WASHINGTON, D.C.—During his visit to Washington, D.C., Armenian President Armen Sarkissian met with U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to discuss relations between the two countries.
Sarkissian said that he reiterated the importance of strong U.S.-Armenian relations to Pompeo. He specifically emphasized that the two countries should continue to consistently develop their partnerships, and he pledged the new Armenian government’s willingness to maintain friendly relations with the U.S.
Sarkissian left a note in the State Department’s guestbook before departing.
I don’t know about the US, but Russia has proven herself to not being a reliable ally of Armenia. I don’t know what is worst, a known enemy or a supposed fake friend?
IF ARMENIA AND ITS LEADERSHIP HAD ANY MORALS AND SENSE OF UNDYING COMMITMENT TO ITS PEOPLE AND NATION, ARMENIA WOULD BE AN ECONOMICALLY AND MILITARILY STRONG COUNTRY TO HOLD ITS OWN!!! no need to rely on anybody else to save us! UNFORTUNATELY, CORRUPTION IS KILLING ARMENIA AND ITS PEOPLE, DEVOIDING ITS TREASURY AND ITS POPULATION!!! There are no boys or men to FIGHT!!! A nation of women, children, old people and smokers. U CANT FIGHT THE TURKS WITH OLD PEOPLE!!!!
Russia is still the best bet for Armenia, Better a neighbor who is near than a brother far away.
AND EXACTLY WHAT IS THE USA GOING TO DO FOR ARMENIA AND ARTSAKH ASIDE FROM THROWING CHUMP CHANGE AT ARMENIA??? SEVERAL MILLION DOLLARS IS PATHETIC WHILE ISRAEL RECEIVES OVER A BILLION DOLLARS!!!!
3.7 BILLION Dollars a year + perks
US should move its military base from Turkey to Armenia.
In fact Armenia should ask France and Germany to also establish military bases in Armenia.
Russians should remain in Armenia, as well.
I agree, this should be the approach of the NEW world order.
