Gala to Honor AAMS Healthcare Leaders and Advancing Healthcare in Armenia
LOS ANGELES—The Armenian American Medical Society is marking 40 years of dedicated service to its members, the Armenian community, and its homeland. Through times of crisis, war, explosions, and celebrations, AAMS has stood as a pillar of support, providing critical medical aid, education, and resources wherever and whenever needed.
This milestone event will honor the individuals who have played a fundamental role in sustaining the organization and recognize members who have maintained their AAMS membership for over 10 years.
Since its founding in October 1985 in Los Angeles, California, AAMS has grown into the largest Armenian diasporan medical professional society in the world. Established by a group of Armenian-American physicians, AAMS was founded on the belief that uniting Armenian healthcare professionals would foster professional growth, collaboration, and a commitment to improving healthcare services in both the Diaspora and Armenia.
AAMS has a strong history of responding to crises and delivering impactful healthcare initiatives in the United States and abroad. The organization has played a crucial role in mobilizing resources during times of war, natural disasters, and medical emergencies, ensuring that urgent medical care reaches those in need.
Beyond crisis response, AAMS remains deeply committed to investing in the future of Armenian healthcare. The organization is currently funding the tuition of 16 healthcare students in Armenia, along with two recent graduates, empowering the next generation of medical professionals. Additionally, AAMS has awarded 113 scholarships to U.S.-based medical students and continues to expand its educational initiatives.
The 40th Anniversary celebration will reflect this mission, with proceeds dedicated to advancing healthcare in Armenia and expanding AAMS’ scholarship program.
As AAMS celebrates this significant milestone, we invite our community to join us in honoring those who have been instrumental in shaping the organization’s success and ensuring its lasting impact.
