ISTANBUL (Marmara)–The Armenian cemetery in Halijoglu (Istanbul) has again been robbed and vandalized by unknown assailants–announced His Grace Bishop Aram Ateshian of the Armenian Patriarchate of Istanbul. The cemetery’s marble fountain and numerous engraved tombstones and flower vases were stolen. Several tombstones were also desecrated by the looters. The police have been notified and are investigating the incident.
