YEREVAN (Armenpress)–The editorial staff of the Armenian Encyclopedia announced it will publish an encyclopedia on the Armenian Diaspora. Editor of the Encyclopedia Hovhannes Ayvazian said the first half of the new edition will cover Diaspora communities in over 70 countries–including those settled by forced migration–and communities such as those in India–Poland–and Azerbaijan that were established by way of natural migration.
The second half of the book is dedicated to approximately forty prominent Armenian organizations and political parties that operate worldwide such as the Armenian General Benevolent Union–the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation–the Armenian National Committee–and the Armenian Revolutionary Federation.
An allocated sum from the Armenian national budget will finance the printing of three thousand copies of the Armenian Diaspora Encyclopedia.
