ANC-OC’s first annual sushi night will take place on Sunday–January 22 at 5PM at the Apardian residence in Huntington Beach–CA. The event will serve as a mixer for Armenian-Americans in Orange County and also raise much needed funds for local grassroots efforts and other community activities the ANC-OC is currently involved in.
ANC-OC has been actively working in the Orange County community–and over the past few months has raised $22,000 for the ANCA in Washington DC–compiled a list of registered voters of Amrenian descent within the county–sent out mailers in support of Marty Simonoff for state assembly–supported Chuck Poochigian at his campaign kick-off at Zov’s Bistro–and mailed 3400 Christmas cards to Armenia’s in Orange County.
Some of ANC-OC’s upcoming activities include a voter registration drive–Meetings with Orange County Sheriff Corona–Board of Supervisors member Chris Norby and other elected officials within the county–and an event commemorating the Armenian genocide in April.
