YEREVAN–Armenia’s Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan hosted Tuesday Glendale’s Mayor Ara Najarian, who is on a visit to Armenia to participate in the all-Armenian conference focusing on the state of Western Armenian language education in the Diaspora organized by the Diaspora Ministry.
The Prime Minister welcomed Najarian and praised his work as Glendale’s mayor. Najarian, for his part, thanked Sargsyan and urged greater participation of the Armenian Government in the life of the Armenian community in Glendale.
The two also discussed issues related to the preservation of Armenian identity in the Diaspora and the Armenian Diaspora Ministry’s “Come Home” Diaspora youth touring program.
Sarkisian and Najarian also talked about issues related to tourism and trade. Tigran Sarkisian stressed the importance of cooperation between Armenian-US Trade Chamber, the Armenian Agency of Development and the Armenian National Competitiveness Foundation.
