The buzzer sounded to utter disappointment as The Ferrahian Armens’ championship run came to a sudden end on Wednesday against the Fresno Christian Eagles 70-58. Both teams gave it their all but at the end, Fresno Christian came on top. Throughout the game, the Eagles maintained a 10-point cushion and it seemed that it wasn’t going to be the Armens’ day. Injuries and home court disadvantage also factored in the loss and crippled any chance of advancing to face St. Bernard Highs School in Playa del Rey.
All good things must come to an end but the Armens should be back next year with experience under their belt and a hunger to repeat this year’s feats as well as advancing further in the State Championships.
