FRESNO—At the conclusion of the 90th annual Regional Convention of the Armenian Relief Society Western US, the delegates elected a new regional executive.
The convention began Friday at the Fresno Renaissance Hotel on Friday and concluded with the election on Sunday.
The convention elected Carmen Libaridian, Nairi Derderian, Christine Keshishian and Seta Hagopian to replace Sossy Poladian, Asdghig Shitilian, Ani Giragosian and Mako Setrakian who had completed their two-year term.
The Regional Executive convened its first plenary session and chose Arousiak Melkonian as its chairwoman. Derderian was chosen as Vice-Chairwoman, Rita Hintlian was elected as Secretary and Keshishian as treasurer. Hagopian and Libaridian will be joined by Sona Madarian, Hasmig Kozanian and Vicky Kataroian as advisors.
