GLENDALE—The non-profit “Artists for Kids,” unveiled a short film competition. Through this competition, Artists for Kids provides the opportunity to aspiring young filmmakers to advance their career, receive exposure and gain recognition within the film making industry.
Competition is open only to students (must include proof of enrollment from accredited College or University).
The short films being submitted could be a narrative, documentary or animation and not longer than 15 minutes.
Submissions must be presented in DVD format only. DVDs will not be returned under any circumstances. Applicants are asked to include a self-addressed, stamped postcard for each submission if you wish to receive an acknowledgment of the receipt of your entry.
Applicants are asked to include the title and a brief description of the submission.
DVDs should be mailed no later that February 10 to Artists for kids, P.O.Box 3904, Glendale, Ca. 91221.
Winners will be announced and awards will be presented on February 24 during the “Maestro” film screening in the Alex Theatre Glendale.
Wining Scholarships:
First place winner: $3000
Second place winner: $2000
Third place winner: $1000
Three Honorary placements: $500 each
