STEPANAKERT (ArmRadio)—On Wednesday, Artsakh’s Federation of Trade Unions held their third congress, with participation from representatives of labor groups from around the country.
Artsakh’s President Bako Sahakian addressed the congress in a statement, welcoming the congress and congratulating the organizing body on their tenth anniversary of operation.
The address runs as follows:
“Your activity aimed at protecting the employees’ legitimate interests, solving their social issues, regulating the relationships with the employers is significant and demanded,” the President said in his address. “We expect these activities to become more vigorous and systematic, expanding and deepening cooperation with various organizations both within our state and beyond its borders.”
“The Artsakh authorities are interested and will do their best to support your work as the improvement of social conditions of the population, raising the nation’s living standards, and creating new workplaces are the key issues which we try to solve,” Sahakian concluded.
