BAKU (Armenpress)–An Azerbaijani parliament member on April 9 said that Armenia allegedly possess nuclear weapons. Rafael Huseynov–who is also a member of the Azerbaijani delegation to the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly (PACE)–went on to claim that in addition to nuclear weapons–Armenia also has biological weapons.
"I would like to remind my compatriots about this very serious threat," he said–adding that Armenia was testing weapons of mass destruction on the captured Azeris and hostages.
Huseynov said these "facts" had been submitted by the Azeri delegation to PACE for their discussions by relevant committees. The latter–unfortunately for Huseynov–refused to do so–proposing instead to focus on the Armenian nuclear power plant’s operation.
Huseynov described the PACE refusal as a gross violation of international laws.
