SAN FRANCISCO—As the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide is nearing, the San Francisco-Bay Area Armenian Genocide Centennial Committee (AGCC) has announced a number of commemorative events.
In addition to these events, the Bay Area AGCC has been working on a massive public relations campaign, to make sure that the non-Armenian public is aware of commemorative events planned, and on an advertising campaign, placing commemorative billboards and banners around the Bay Area.
“The unity of our Bay Area community has been a true source of inspiration,” a statement from the Bay Area AGCC said. “We are obliged to all its churches, organizations, and members for their support. Please join us at most of these events and, by doing so, honor the memory of your ancestors.”
