GLENDALE–Due to California’s economic hardship–twelve of California’s thirteen foreign trade offices will close when their current leases end–reported the Glendale News-Press on Wednesday. The only trade office spared is Armenia’s which is scheduled to open next year in Yerevan. Unlike trade offices in Japan–London–Mexico City and Jerusalem–for example–California will not be funding its trade office in Yerevan. Instead–that office will be funded by private donations. Asbarez will provide details in tomorrow’s edition.
