YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–Turkey can become a member of the Transcaucasian and Central-Asian regional group of the Bazel committee of bank controllers–said Rouben Valesyan–chairman of the council of the regional group. Valesyan made the statemen’s during a recent visit to Turkey at the request of Turkey’s Central Bank leadership.
The regional group–which presently includes Transcaucasian and Central Asian–is chaired by Armenia.
According to Valesyan–agreemen’s have been reached with the Turkish Central Bank in regards to the exchange of data in various fields of operation.
According to the chairman–the Turkish Central Bank is expected to send a delegation to Armenia.
On June 25-27 representatives of the Turkish bank will participate in the 5th regional assembly of banks-controller in Tbilisi.
