
GLENDALE–On Wednesday, November 17, Chamlian Armenian School’s Administration hosted a very special appreciation dinner for various representatives from the Armenian media in Los Angeles, including Oshin Keshishian from the Armenian Observer, Harut Sassounian from the California Courier, Apo Jabarian from Hye Gyank, Miro Khantzatian from GlobalHye, and Ara Khachatourian and Apo Boghigian from Asbarez.
Also present at the dinner, which took place at Glendale’s Phoenicia Retaurant, were Chamlian’s Principal, Vazken Madenlian, School Board Chairperson, Armineh Khatchatourian, School Board Member, Armen Abrahamian, Chamlian’s Armenian Department Chair, Saro Nazarian, and the Communications Coordinator, Lara Hovsepian.
The attendees enjoyed a pleasant evening, as they discussed and reflected upon various issues regarding Armenian schools and the community at large.
“Thank you to our Armenian news media friends for their continued support and dedication to Chamlian Armenian School. We are particularly grateful for the partnership and cooperation we have enjoyed for many years,” stated Chairlady of Chamlian’s Board, Armineh Khatchatourian.
“Asbarez has had a great relationship with Chamlian for several decades. We are very grateful to the dedicated teachers and staff who nurture a new generation of Armenians. And through chronicling the successes of the school, we have been able to convey to our readers the advances and efforts the school has undertaken to enhance the education of younger generations,” added Asbarez English Editor, Khachatourian.
